Strike the nail on the head
For the 26th edition of the “Oscars of Watchmaking,” La Pièce n°2 Silver officially joins the prestigious list of nominees for the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG), in the Challenge category.
This nomination acknowledges nearly two years of collaboration between Beaubleu and the Monnaie de Paris (The Mint of Paris), bringing together watchmaking and French minting expertise.
An event one cannot miss
Every autumn, for just one evening, Geneva gathers those who drive the global watchmaking industry. The Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève Foundation distinguishes the year's most significant creations, from independent brands to major Maisons, across fifteen categories.
Among these, the Challenge category recognizes watches with a retail price equal to or less than 4,500 CHF. For this new edition, the academy members selected Beaubleu as a finalist among more than 40 competing watches in this category.
Second nomination for Beaubleu
La Pièce n°2 Silver thus joins the Challenge 2026 selection, two years after the nomination of the Seconde Française.

A world first
Behind the "La Pièce" collection lies a unique encounter: that of Beaubleu's design and the historic craftsmanship of the Monnaie de Paris. A world first, as the capital's oldest active mint (founded in 864) of which has never before lent its striking art to watchmaking. The collection's dials are minted in the workshops of the Hôtel de la Monnaie, in the heart of Paris, and are produced in 888 units per color.
On La Pièce n°2 Silver, the monobloc dial displays a finely grooved radial pattern, punctuated by indices that catch the light with every movement. Its silver hue asserts a bright and contemporary style, which the flying second hand traversing lightly, adding depth and dynamism to the whole.
The 39 mm case plays on contrasts of each finishing, from polished to brushed. At 3 o'clock, the crown is deliberately discreet, giving full prominence to the dial. Topped with a domed sapphire crystal, it extends the lines of the case to the openworked caseback, revealing the France Ebauches FE movement, manufactured in France.
See you in Geneva
After traveling to several countries for academy members and major collectors to discover La Pièce, it will conclude its journey at the awards ceremony, which will take place on November 7th, at the Bâtiment des Forces Motrices in Geneva. For the occasion, the Parisian Maison will don its finest attire to once again highlight French creativity on the international watchmaking stage.
